Vintage BOWLING PIN Half for Advertisement Decor ? USBC

Vintage half of a bowling pin marked "USBC Approved
Plastic Coated" and is also marked "Pat. #4 445 688".
One other thing. This unique piece has a slot carved out of
it (look just below the words "Plastic Coated" and see
the photo). I don't know what was supposed to be in the
slot. Just to remind you, it is half of the pin, so you can
see by looking on the backside the wood and how it
was constructed. Perhaps this USBC pin was used for
advertising?  I am not sure...but it is interesting and would
make a great decoration or display piece. Good/fair
condition...it has a few dark marks from age and use. It
measures about 15 1/4" high.
